~ News and updates for RIP Terry Funk, AJPW [8/27], GLEAT [9/9], DDT [9/9] & STARDOM [9/29]

Rest in peace to a veteran of the Japanese ring Terry Funk, he was 79 years old. Terry Funk, along with his brother Dory Funk Jr, was one of the more popular foreign wrestlers, let alone most successful, in Japan throughout the 1970's and 1980's, initially in Nihon Pro-Wrestling and later All Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Terry would be less active in the 1980's following his initial retirement due to knee problems, but the 1990's would see his resurgence as an icon of deathmatches in FMW.
His final match in Japan would be on on December 11th, 2014 in Tokyo Gurentai.
