In some sad news, Masashi Takeda announced the reason as to why he has been away from the ring , as it was publicly announced that his wife, Yuka Takeda (Omori) (33), had passed away after complication with undisclosed illness on January 7th. Her funeral was then held on January 14th with close relatives present. Takeda stated that this has been a hard time for himself and something that he still hasn't come to accept what has happened, so for the time being he is still taking time away from active competition. The two were married in the Spring of 2018, with their public wedding ceremony held the following year. A couple years later they had a son born in 2020. The also ran their own business as well, an owl cafe. They appear to have met in 2016 while Takeda was working freelance in All Japan Pro-Wrestling, as Yuka was part of the "Through Skills" cheer group that supported the promotion at the time. My best wishes are to him and his family in this difficult time. ______
