NJPW

~ Following the conclusion of the NEW JAPAN CUP 2022, the full event card was announced for the next big show that will be taking place on April 9th at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

The main event will see Kazuchika Okada defending the IWGP Heavy belt against the NJC Winner Zack Sabre Jr. Sabre has declared that he will finally capture the IWGP belt, but Okada has also put a claim down that he being the 50th anniversary year that is fighting with the promotion as a whole in mind. Then El Desperado will be defending the IWGP Junior belt against SHO in the semi-final match. SHO made a direct challenge during the final day of the NJC, even ripping Despe's mask from his head, as he aims to become a singles champion.

Then Hiromu Takahashi made a statement during the NJC and has taken to directly provoking his once former ally EVIL by using his very own finishing move. Hiromu defeated EVIL during the NJC and willingly accepted the rematch as he knocked out Hiromu on the final day with a strike from the very own NEVER belt. Then both sets of the IWGP Tag belts will also be in defense to fill out a fairly solid show.

DDT

The full event cards were announced for the April 1st and 10th shows. Following the conclusion if this weekends big show, it was announced that Takeshita will be heading to the USA to compete in AEW for the foreseeable future. Takeshita noted that he has not booked a return flight and he aims to begin a whole new chapter in his career. Though he stated that his career in DDT is far from over as well and he will come back, even if just big events, it really depends on how well he can adapt to life abroad.

Then in regards to DDT, Endo is looking forward to the 10th anniversary of his career as a pro-wrestler, as he described, he is now 30 years old and has spent a third of his life in the ring, so far. Endo is now the leading man in DDT, especially with Takeshita taking a leave for the USA, and he looks forward to leading the front for DDT in the coming years. A special 6-man tag match will headline the April 10th show and will feature everyone who has helped Endo grow to be the leading champion that he has become today.
