~ In showing his fighting spirit Tenryu, with the aid of a walker, stood up at the entrance way and walked to the ring.
~ Tenryu stated that it was his will today to see everyone gather and compete today at the Korakuen Hall. He gave them all a platform to show their own professional wrestling and for the fans to carry the spirit of what they witness today.
~ Shingo Takagi, who has taken it upon himself to carry the "dragon spirit" in honor of Tenryu was grateful and hopes to achieve similar results to Tenryu. Vying for Tenryu's claim as the oldest IWGP Champion at 49+ years old.
~ Kengo, who is Tenryu's current protege, stated that he wants to team with Takagi again in the future. That he seeks to inherit Tenryu's spirit and help cultivate future generations as time goes on.

NJPW NEWS

~ Several title matches were made official for the big annual Tokyo Dome show that will be held on January 4th. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA will defend the IWGP World Heavy title in a double title match against the IWGP GLOBAL champion Yota Tsuji.

 

~ Saya Kamitani will defend the STRONG Women's title against the current IWGP Joshi Champion Syuri in a double title match on the big stage. Kamitani seeks to aim a third title win to her current title reign.

~ Then Olympic Gold Medalist Wolf Aaron will not only be making his pro-wrestling debut on January 4th but he will now be taking on EVIL for the NEVER Openweight title. Aaron has gotten involved with making the saves from EVIL and HOUSE OF TORTURE assaults. Meanwhile EVIL seeks to show that a New Japan Champion is far superior to an Olympic gold medalist.

~ Tanahashi also announced that 31,548 tickets have been sold for the show so far. Though in regards to who he will face for his retirement match he asked for everyone to be patient until it can be announced.
